Did you know?
There are many different facts and trivia associated with Dee Why Soccer Club. Check in here for regular updates.
Dee Whys most famous player was the one and only George Best who made a guest appearance for the mighty Swans back in 1983. He actually played alongside former Premier League player Dom Pearman in that game. Check out the photograph in the club house!
Dee Why's Premier League were once sponsored by the comedian Billy Connolly who was a school friend of the former President Billy Kelly.
Dee Whys longest serving player is Andrew 'Doc' Miller who has played for the club since 1972 when he was 7 years old. 2004 will be his thirtieth year playing for the mighty Swans though he will always be remembered for playing 1 year with the Seasiders - so much for loyalty!!! He has reminded us that Seasiders did win the Grand Final that year! He also tells us if Marc Adam of the AL2's goes around again this year he will be the longest serving player. So, c'mon Marc, strap on those boots and let us know if you can beat Doc's thirty years!
We have another candidate for longest serving player in Ash Parker who has been at the club since he was 5 years old! Unfortunately Ash, although not quite forty, won't divulge his exact age! He has admitted however to playing a couple of seasons away from the Swans......where's the loyalty?
Former President and Premier League manager Bill Kelly has admitted to being involved in the club in varying capacities since 1967. Beat that!
